Our Story

Growing up, my grandmother had a set of TV trays in her house, as many of our grandparents did. It was always such a treat every time I got to use them—sometimes I would even fake sick just to get out of school and go over to her house to eat snacks on them in front of the TV.

In my early twenties, I had this lightbulb moment while living with roommates. Whether we were alone or together, we would eat in front of the TV using the coffee table or sitting on the floor. Especially after work, it felt like such a luxuriously restful moment. I realized TV trays were the perfect solution, but all of the available options were ugly or completely non-functional.

The need became even stronger living alone, and then during Covid and now living with my husband. We eat together at the dining table, but when I have the evening to myself, it's always so fun to order whatever takeout I want and eat it while watching my bad reality TV shows.

When I tell people what I'm doing, every single person admits—somewhat sheepishly—that they love eating in front of the TV. No one is sitting alone in silence at the dining table. I wanted to celebrate that moment and make it even more beautiful.
